The Grenspalenklassieker Brabantse Kempen is an accessible but surprisingly varied gravel route of about 130 kilometres, through the charming border area between North Brabant and Flanders. Ambassador Bram Tankink invites you to a ride full of nature, history and unpaved gems. Expect a day of enjoying peaceful forests, moors and quiet border paths, with numerous historical border stones along the way as silent witnesses of the past.

Route highlights
This Grenspalenklassieker winds through the heart of the Brabant Kempen, a region where the Belgian-Dutch border has defined the landscape and stories for centuries. You start at Taverne D'n Ouwe Brandtoren, from where you cycle over the border towards the Leenderbos via beautiful cycle paths and lovely nature reserves. The route takes you between beautiful pine forests and heathlands, making it the ideal warm-up for what is to come. Along the way, you are occasionally treated to a beautiful gravel strip that is also fine for you road cyclists. You feel like you're in the Strade Bianche!
