Get to know the border posts in Limburg and visit places you have never been before. This route shows you the best of 2 Limburgs. Both Dutch and Belgian Limburg. The border posts classic gravel route is probably the most varied route you can cycle in Limburg. From the hills of South Limburg to the forests near Aachen, followed by the Voerstreek with the beautiful views from Fort Eben Emael and the Pietersberg and enjoy a piece of National Park the Hoge Kempen in Belgian Limburg.
Route highlights
The Limburg edition of the Grenspalenklassieker is a ride for lovers of tough climbs and cultural heritage. With more than 1,500 altitude metres, this is the most hilly variant within the Grenspalenklassieker concept. Gravel sections alternate with short cobbled sections and panoramic views. Along the way, don't forget to enjoy the charming villages and regional products in both Dutch and Belgian Limburg - a ride full of character, history and unpaved gems.
